Fees are determined by the Department of Human Services. For any new Care Recipients entering aged care on or after 1st July 2014 the accommodation pricing is made up of either:
A Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD)
A Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP)
or a combination payment of both a RAD and a DAP
A basic daily care fee will be charged. Depending on your circumstances, you may also be asked to pay an accommodation charge and/or an extra daily care fee.
More information on fees and RAD information is available on the My Aged Care Website.
In order to determine if your are eligible to receive aged care services and what type of care services you need, you will need to be assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT).
